Kitty was given to a new home today. This is Lauren saying goodbye. She seems fine-she'll probably ask for the kitty throughout the week and then move on. I was sad to see Kitty go--I won't necessarily miss her, but sentimentally-this was our first "pet" and Lauren ADORED Kitty and spent so many hours with her outside. Its too bad this brief chapter must come to a close, but we're so gratefully the Lord gave us a cat for a few months and it sounds like she's going to enjoy her new home/farm.
MiMa came to visit for the weekend. We had lots of fun playing at the house, going out to Bravo's, having Cold Stone ice cream, and going to church. Carter crawled all over the place and Lauren followed MiMa all over the place.
Our little family :-)
A lady from MOPS let us come to their farm. Lauren brushed and rode "Belle", chased cats, and played with two other new kid-friends.
Playing on the laundry
Lauren likes to explain things to Carter.
We got to go to the fair this year! We had lots of fun and marveled at how our first time was just Jason and I, the second time was with baby Lauren, the third time is with Lauren and Carter-how life changes!
Lauren got stung this week. Here she and Carter are rocking and watching a video to keep her mind off the baking soda paste on her foot. She was a trooper and took it well!
Lauren doing what she does every day-follows Kitty, pets Kitty, hits Kitty (I try to keep after her on that one), sends Kitty to time out, looks for Kitty, sits in Kitty's box, dumps Kitty's cat food all over the porch and has her get one piece at a time, and bosses Kitty around. She loves Kitty!
We got to see Morgan twice this week-she and Lauren had fun playing playdough and watching a video.
A favorite evening activity-Wrestle Daddy!
Lauren loves to sit in the crib with Carter after morning nap. When we hear he's awake, we go upstairs and she opens his door and says, "HI CARTER!" (kind of loudly, but he's just excited someones there). Then she wants in and they laugh, play, read, jump (she does), and crawl around in the crib. Its pretty cute.
This is one of the few things I have to "contain" Carter if I don't want him crawling (and falling) and pulling himself up (and falling) all over the place. A few weeks ago, he figure out he could stand in the crib, so instead of napping, he'd stand in the corner and just cry and cry and cry and not know how to get down. He's still trying to figure it out.
