I think this is an emu--we drove by it on the way to and from the patch.
The kids were troopers with our berry picking...Lauren was like a girl let loose in a candy store. She just "hmmmm-ed" and ate for 10 minutes. After that, she and Carter were sick of the whole adventure. Since it took about 40+ minutes to get there, I was determined to stay at least that long. I got a large ice-cream tubs worth picked and we enjoyed snacking on them for a few days and a few cobblers.
